Rules

-All animals must be on grounds for check in by 5:00 pm.

-Health requirements abide by state regulations

-4-H & FFA members are eligible to compete in the open show.

-Boer Goats can be horned or dehorned

-Registration papers will be checked at time of check in.

-Anyone entering the grounds will be expected to pay admission at the main gate or at check in.

-Classes may be combined at the chairman's discretion

-A goat must be 50% or greater

-Market Boer and Commercial Doe Classes will be divided by weight

Showmanship

Premiums for Showmanship: $25, $15, $12

Age Classes: (Age as of January 1 of current year)

Pee Wee or Novice: 8 and under

Clover: 9 to 11

Junior: 12 to 13

Intermediate: 14 to 16

Senior: 17 and above

Old Geezers

Overall Bourbon County Grand Champion will be presented a silver plate in honor of Wayne and Betty Stocker 

Costume Contest

The costume class will be held immediately following showmanship - Open to youth.

Premiums: $20, $15, $10, $5, $5

Market Boer Goat Classes are limited to 6 entries

Novice classes are limited to two market goats  

Breeding Animal Show

Premiums: $20, $15, $10, $5, $5

Commercial Doe Classes are limited to 2

Champion commercial doe will be eligible for Supreme Champion Market Animal
